August 2013 - Forget Fad Fitness

You Don''t Need to be Popular to be Fit

First time running in awhile. Was a little harder than I thought – could just be pollen + asthma. Would like to make it a once a week thing. We will have to see, it’s hard with busy weekends and who knows how busy work will have me. Ugh back to work soon.

Clearly, I need to start watching this show.

I wasn’t too worried about gaining these past few weeks because my bodies been so good about bouncing back. But it could be the delay, or the unexpected few nights of take out as we had no water to prepare food.

I am also baking cupcakes right now, I know that I needed to try it before I went back to work. Sure that won’t help either. Sigh. I hate the idea of real dieting when I go back to work.

This is what happens when you buy a place where the previous owners made bad decisions about who did their plumbing. #hallwayToilet

I think this article really speaks to how I feel about some of what is out there on skinny shaming.

Had some. Honestly don’t know what to say. They are weird. I enjoy the white chocolate flavor, but nothing beats the consistency of real candy corn.

I have been making it to the fun, but its hard to post some days after all the craziness. The wedding has be really busy lately.

At the regular gym now. Hoping to go boxing tonight.

Feel like after a weekend at my parents I need to be at the top of my game, but all this wedding stuff leads to stress, so I’m doing to try drinking. Works for other people.

A few Days at the Parents

Reasons I can’t stay at my parents long. Nom nom nom. Have my work cut out for me when I get home.

Can’t believe how good my at home gel French job turned out.

Growing up I had a weight problem. I was one those kids that was contributing to the “childhood obesity epidemic.” After choosing to make a change, I made significant progress in high school and lost over 50lbs. It hasn’t been without bumps in the road over the past ten plus years, but I’ve been dedicated to living a healthier life ever since and now I want to help others too.

Forget Fad Fitness is meant to be honest and positive while cutting through all the confusing, contradicting and painfully awful fitness and nutrition trends that are out there.
